Being A Teachers Pet... Have You Ever Been One

i didn't know what my elementary and high school teachers think of me. but i ended up doing their work many times. my friends were already at the school grounds for cheering rehearsals but i was there at the teacher's desk writing entries for the class record or grade sheets. computer wasn't available then and i had no typewriter. that went on until college and was even asked to type my instructor's research proposal. good thing was that i already owned a typewriter so i managed to use carbon sheets to prepare three sets in a row. was it my good handwriting or very friendly personality? i had no idea if i was given extra points for doing their work. my mom complained about it so i kept the testpapers under my pillow. LOL! they were so happy each time i finished their work so i was and relieved. one just came after the other and so on. but i didn't expect any reward as long as it wasn't too much for me. have you ever been a teacher's pet? what were you asked to do for them? if you were a teacher, is it fair to delegate your work to your students? please let me hear from you, fellow mylotters. thank you.

Yes, I'm such a teachers pet that I had an affair with my sophomore History teacher. She was hotter than any girl on class thats why I pursued her. Well that was a long long time ago when i was I still a teenager. [albertwhisker]

Yes, I was teacher's pet all through elementary school, especially in fourth grade. I was the best-behaved student and I was pretty smart too. Most of the time the teacher tried not to play favorites, but I did find myself running lots of errands for them. I didn't have a whole lot of friends as a result. It stopped as soon as I got to middle school. Teachers didn't play favorites or ask students to do errands or work for them. [allyoftherain]

I was also a teacher's pet once. I remember one teacher always assigning me to be the leader in class activities, calling out my name first, and asking me to put some things for her in the faculty room. I know I wasn't the smartest kid in the class, and I'm not like the other students either who try so hard and show off. At one point in my job, I also became a "doctor's" pet. [MimiRemo]

i was asked to go to the cafeteria to get a ice cream for a study teacher. i also was asked by a homeroom teacher to bring down the absentee list to the office. i don't know if i was there pet. i doubt it.......i was just picked from the litter. [clocks123]

I don't do anything like that for them, basically i just write i love this subject, or your my favorite teacher on my tests, and sometimes i get extra credit. I also see that if i go to study right before a test with them my grade magically " boosts " than if i hadn't. [skater95]

It is a privilege being a teachers pet and for sure I once enjoyed having that privilege. It was when I was a freshman in university and my professor really admired the way I tried to present my first report which he assigned to us. That was the very first impression he got from me and I can't imagine how that first presentation had an efect on him.Of course,I know pretty well that I had invested more on that first report too though I was thinking for a shorter term impression. To my surprise it became a lasting impression on him that after that first report, my professor made me always be exempted with any other repotings as well as tests which cause envy to my classmates (smiles). I feel definitely great about it and I'm also sure that my first presentation made me worthy of being a teacher's pet.Oh, I love the feeling of being one. [dragonangel]
