Since I was in my kindergarten years until I graduated in college, I studied in a Private school and university. I have not experienced studying in a public school. My parents enroledd us in a private school because they say public schools are more crowded. ANd they also would like us to be disciplined students.
To those who have tried studying at both types of schools, are there any differences? :)

I studied in public schools and I don't think there were any more problems in my schools than there would have been in a private school. Just because kids are in private schools doesn't mean they don't act out once in a while. My public high school had the best symphony orchestra in the state. We would travel around to other schools both public and private and would always show them up. We were even better than a few colleges. The quality of the public schools depend on if you live in rich areas or not. [not4me]

In my Elementary, my parents send me to public school since we are real poor. But i didnt mind it and i truly understand the capability of my parents financial status. Then, after my graduation in elementary, my parents, decided to send me in a public school again. But my brother said that he dont want me to be in public school because i might have a friends who can be bad influenced for me. Like drug addicts. So he said that he will be paying my tuition and ill be send in a private school (Notre Dame Of Dadiangas For Girls) means exclusive for girls only. But Then after a year,when i need to enroll to that school, my brother died. But still he didnt allow me to study in public school. He really find ways.He talked my sisters and parents through thei dreams. To make the story short, i graduated my high school in private. And i graduate my bachelor degree in a Foundation School. I spent kindergarten through 2nd grade in a private school because both my parents worked there and it was right across the street from my home. In 3rd grade I moved and attended a public school. I can see some advantages to private schools, but public schools have really improved drastically over the past decade. I will say one thing...it was hard making that change at that age. Friendships form early and so do cliques. I never completely felt like I fit in. I made some good friends and even married one of them, but I probably keep in touch with as many people from my private school as I do from my graduating high school. I have to agree with one of your other responses, private school students get into about the same amount of trouble as public school students from what I've seen. [eeseharden]
throughout my elementary and highschool years, i studied in an exclusive (for girls) private school which was run by nuns. then in college, i went to a public state university. as for the differences, i guess i gained more freedom in college. since my high school was run by nuns, there were a lot of strict policies and rules that we have to abide by. i don't question having rules and i don't see anything wrong with them since they are there to help us (the students) become good persons. In some ways, they are different when it comes to environment. Private schools are more comfortable, nice classrooms, nice building structures and all that stuffs. But in fairness to them, we've got so many politicians now who studied at public school back then. It depends really on the student i think. i went to a catholic school (private) for kindergarden.. and then i went to public school for the rest. just because you go to a public school doesnt mean there is no discipline. the only difference i see is money. private school parents have money.. public school parents dont have so much..the school itself struggles. yes public schools are more crowded.. but thats cuz the parents dont have the finances to send their kids to other schools. I think i am not so lucky as you,during my elementary days private school are quit scarce in my town.Even i went to public secondary school too.but i think my junior brothers are previllege to enjoy private school.but what i want to strees here is that no mater which school you go,the major thing in life is that you need to know what you are doing.or else the school you attend might be the best in the world but yet you will not be different to those that have not attend one. i study in public schools ever since my child hood years. i did not ever tried coming to private schools and i think there will never be a chance for coming to that school also. i love my schools and its where i really belong. [pryce_mbg]
I studied in a public school when i was in my elementary. Then in my high school days, i studied in a private school. And the name is Notre Dame of Dadiangas for GIRLS. Means exclusive for girls. Now, my kids, i let them enrolled in a private school. I like them to enrolled there because of the standard of teaching and the numbers of students inside their classroom.
