We went to dinner at Silver Diner last night as part of my son's school fundraising event and it was a lot of fun. The teachers greeted us at the door, they waited on us and spent their time serving and clearing our dishes. The kids were loving it and I must say they did a great job. The school PTA gets a percentage of each bill which is a great idea for fundraising.
Lots of families joined in the fun and ate lots of goodies too. As soon as my son saw a few of his class mates he was off. He only stopped by our table to take a nibble and sip on his drink and then he was gone.
I am now nibbling on a peice of chocolate cake we brought home because it was too big of a slice to finish. Anyone want some? :)

I shouldn't of eaten the chocolate cake as I just came back from having Thanksgiving lunch with my son at school and I couldn't finish it all it was yummy. I'm about to write another post on it lol [maddysmommy]
Seems like you had a nice time. Yes, I would like a piece of Chocolate cake.LOL I have not had one of those for years. They don´t make chocolate or vanille cakes the same here. It is totally different. I mis that. Take care. [Margajoe]

That is very nice to do..Fundraising can be a lot of fun and it really helps out the schools. [Feona1962]
It really does - the PTA is great and even though we don't take part in everything, the food activities seems to be the ones we like taking part in haha [maddysmommy]
Do you ever eat at home? My goodness, it must be nice to not have to cook all the time, with your sons school feeding the family, LOL. That is so cute. It's good to know that your son is fitting in and making friends. And no, I don't want any of your little stinking chocolate cake. How dare you tease us like that? Especially, with chocolate. Make it lemon and I'll be right over on the next flight, LOL. [Rozie37]
One would think all mothers would feel guilty. [Rozie37]
We have these fundraisers where the students sell stuff they baked. I cannot afford to buy anything, but what happens is that the parents buy the stuff back. It gets very confusing. But we never had an outing at a restaurant, cafeteria or a diner. It is sure different from the usual buy chocolates or Coupons at the door, or the big Church supper where they have a box for donations. Oh I love chocolate cake, but I made some yesterday, so I must gratefully decline. :) [suspenseful]
