" Mommy, someone says she has a knife and shes gonna cut me.
I SCARED "
She is in the 7th grade. A fairly confident girl. Rather big for her age.
Stands up for herself, don't back down from many people. But has never
been in trouble at school. She just holds her own and takes up for her friends.
So you can imagine the shock when she called from her cell phone and said that one
of her friends had got a group of 9th graders to beat her up. I kind of took this
lightly. You know how kids are. They argue, and fuss. And girls are the worst, 7th
grade was hard for me even.
About 30 min. later she called and said that 'someone says she has a knife and she
is gonna cut me'. Okay , I'm 30 minutes from school, at work. I called the officer that
is stationed at school. He knew before my daughter did. Isn't that sad. Good he knew,
sad no one told her. Or her friends.
The policy for bringing a knife is the same as bringing a gun. Out of school for good.
If the school doesn't protect my child. And they let her back in school, I will take
the board to court.

School systems are totally lame about stuff like this. I'm a junior in high school, and one of the kids in one of my classes showed me his knife. Since the guy wasn't particularly fond of me and I didn't trust him at all, I told one of my teachers. She didn't care. She said it was no big deal. I don't feel safe at school at all! [srbollar]
Report the teacher. [darkjedi]
I am glad that the officer was on the ball and knew what was going down. Jr. Hi is awful, it is absolutely the worst, because kids do not realize that the trouble they get into there is real trouble and will follow them all of their life. [GardenGerty]
They certainly don't understand it. And I think this other 7th grader may have found it out the hard way. And all over some boy, who didn't like either one of them. SAD ! SAD ! sad [walkthetalk]
We had a child chase my son home with a knife now they were only seven years old at the time. I dont think he had an intention of actually hurting my son but what happenes if my son stops and he couldnt stop in time or the child falls and lands on his own knife so we reported it. Well because he got rid of the knife and the school didnt find it all they did was take away his recess for a few days. And him kicking my son repeatedly the next day. It has been a year now and this boy i think learned a leason actually as he and my son are now on decent terms they are not friends but we dont have issues like this anymore. [minnie_98214]
Stuff like that is scary. And if they had pressed the boy he would have owned up to having the knife, and where it was. That is really bad. If he will do it at seven, he'll do it again. When he's older he's gonna be dangerous. That is really scary. [walkthetalk]
Damn, im glad the cop knew about it and took care of it. That really sucks she had that problem. Hell makes me remember the days when I was in 7th grade being chased and beaten up sound a little better, at least nobody ever tried to stab me or anything. Though I did know kids that did bring weapons to school, hell after awhile I did too, nobody ever tried to use them, even in a fight they would stick to their fists, now a days kids resort to weapons way to fast, its so stupid. [darkjedi]
Oh. I don't blame her at all. It was the psycho b!tch that I blame. I'm just glad she can't ever come back. [walkthetalk]
school will take this lightly until something serious happen then they want to take you to court.iam telling you the court is full of our kids for stupid stuff that the school can handle but dont until it get out of hand. well i hope you good luck on all this and try to keep your daughter safe [annjilena]
Thanks. I'm doing my best to keep her safe. So far the school is handling it we'll see how they do. As long as they follow the rules we'll be okay. [walkthetalk]
