From primary schools, till higher secondary intitutes, students do have do have to wear that same stupid uniform daily. Dont you people think thats its of no use, simply a false rule made by these institutes???

No, this is not just the false rule. Specially in a country like india it has to mandatory where theres so much difference in the society in terms of wealth. I think it brings the children together by giving them a felling of oneness. So i think its ok to be in uniform. [cooldudepankaj]

In my country, we have a specified guidelines for our uniform. All the governement schools have same uniform color, and same pattern for boys and girls. I dont think this is the false rules. Dont you see this is one way of making and teaching the student to follow the rules and making them to be look smart and discipline. [adik_samura]
Well I live in the United States and most schools do not require the students to wear uniforms.So there is so much compatition.Everyone is trying to out dress the other person. Kind of like "keeking up with the Jonse's".So if you are poor, You are made fun of,and looked down on because you can not dress in the new fashions. But my Granddaughter does go to a school that requires wearing uniforms, and I think it is a great Idea. Everyone is equal.They all have to dress the same, no competing.No fashion conscionness... its cool to wear school uniforms.Why? because when you wake up early you dont need to think on what are you going to wear just pick the uniform. take a Bath brush your teeth and clean yourself up. and then boooommmm you are ready to go to school. because. choosing clothes is a very difficult job except for a night out. or a party. save the casual clothes for parties. hehe. yes it is mandatory in school teacher and students. do you digest if teachers, girls, boy starting using unusual dress i.e. sleevless top, petty coat, transparent jeans in school which would be provocative and sensuous for them and outsiders. at least there must be some discipline level till 12 where one can build up own's moral. in college you are not bound to use dress code. thanks. I think school dresses should be mandatory. The reason being that it brings about equality in the system otherwise there would be demands by chidren to buy new clothes every now and then which their parents might find hard to fulfill. Moreover there is need to keep check on the kind of dresses children were as showy dressses may lead to awkward incidents. [limcyjain]

Well saunty, School uniform is applied since the main idea behind it is student would not be differenciated. There would be people from different levels of society in the school and school is to impart moral values to the children, in this following even the dress code is maintained m since it would bring no discrimintaion. Generally children tend to think this is big, that is great etc.. and this would apply even in the dressing,, that would create a feeling of status and discrimination, u might think they r children but still rich people would wear nice clothes , wht about the poor ones.. they would feel inferior , this applies even when people grow elder.. like in the secondary institues also.. once they grow out of it and have mature level then it could be left on their own.. i hope u get the summary of this.. and hence it would be advisable to have school uniform, may be a single day for normal dress can be allowed which would also bring cheer to people who dont like uniform and would be apt. regards vinod [niftydoniv]

Actually I love the idea of a uniform. It means that there is everyone in the same clothes. Nobody is saying to others well I am dressed better than you, there is no poor or rich clothes as it is all the same. When you are at school you are there to LEARN not to have a fashion week. I spent all my school life in uniform and I think it made it easier knowing that I did nothave to worry about what I was going to wear that day. My son has had to wear a uniform for every day he has been at school and it has taken the peer pressure off him. [apricotrains]

But another problem is, students might finish high school, and whent hey start going to college or outside world, they have no idea what their style is....it's another problem, but style is something that builds up with time.
