Well, i hate P.E. or Phys">http://www.physicaleducationdegree.net">Physical Education or gym class... i don't think i was able to learn anything in that subject... not that i am not athletic... i was a good runner... i played volleyball... and can even play basketball... but i just hated the subject...
Maybe because all the teachers i had in that subject were not like the teacher in academic subjects... they would only give us a ball... and then leave... made us copy a lot of lectures... and then leave...and worst of all... forced us to wear silly uniforms... and then leave...
What subject did you hate most in school?... was it also P.E.?...
[question posted by aseretdd]
responses and comments:
"silly uniforms for P.E." I remember my school days, I also wore those kind of P.E. uniform like bloomersrolleyes, tights...eeeeooowwwwwwwwwwww lol... those were the days. But even if our teacher made us wore that outfit P.E. was not the subject I hated most. I hate history I find it boring. [jhoana_joey]
I hated those bloomers with passion... what can't they design a more fashionable p.e. uniform... i opted to join military training just so i would be exempted from that subject... and i never regretted it... i love history... that is why i majored it in college... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Yes, PE was absolutely my most hated subject and I was always outraged that we had to wear the skimpy outfits and shower in the open--some of the gym teachers, even if they were women, paid too much attention to us when we were unclothed and one even tried to pull my towel away. She did not succeed, but I was really mad, and very careful around her after that. In college they required all the women to take 2 years of PE unless we had done military service and I just had to put up with it. Soccer class was OK, but all the rest of them were a giant waste of time, in my opinion, and it was always hard to get cleaned up and dressed and back in time for regular classes and due to the rush it was hard to concentrate on whatever class followed gym. [drannhh]
I hope you reported that teacher... what she did was a violation... in high school... i chose to join military training for two years just to escape P.E... but in college... it was not an option so i had to put up with it for 2 years... and when is was teaching... we suggested that PE classes should be done before lunch break or have it as the last subject... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
its something same like me. i hated physical education as it was told. i did not liked it as i think some were were forced to do some exercise they are not able to do. it may be due to physical problem and all. [subha12]
Maybe if the teachers were like good in teaching the subject and if we were not forced to wear those hideous uniforms... i would have liked it... since i also love sports... but then that was not the case... i never had a PE teacher that i really liked... thanks for the response...cool [aseretdd]
hi aseretdd, how's your day? happy anyway, what i hate most is drawing... i am not good on it... hahaha just a little info, according to Wikipedia.org, Drawing is a visual art which makes use of any number of drawing instruments to mark a two-dimensional medium. Common instruments include graphite pencils, pen and ink, inked brushes, wax color pencils, crayons, charcoals, chalk, pastels, markers, stylus, or various metals like silverpoint. An artist who practices or works in drawing may be referred to as a draftsman or draughtsman. for more info bout this... here's a link for you.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drawing thanks for posting and sharing this....rolleyes cheers and God bless... [delgar]
Well, i am not good at drawing... but i had friends who are... so i just ask them to draw for me any assignment... but i love the other aspect of art since i love playing with colors and cutting art paper... thanks for the response... and for sharing the info... [aseretdd]
There no subject that I hate more than Math... I just simply hate it! Not to mention that I only have a minute attention span... LOL P.E. was fun for me. For me, it's like a break from the boring classroom set up. XOXOX [princesslexie1001]
Oh my... we are so different... i love math even if it was very difficult... i am always challenged when there is problem to solve... and those x and y equations are like love letters for me... i would have love P.E. if only we had good teachers... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Chemistry!! Especially Organic chemistry. I never understood anything. It was all so confusing...all those equations...most of which I learnt by rote...just to pass. We had a very elderly teacher who knew her subject very well....but wasn't a good teacher. I remember that most of us would fall asleep in the class. But the rest of my classmates went for tution...which I didn't. Chemistry is my husband's favourite subject and he says it's very easy...and there's nothing to learn by rote...once you know some basics....you can figure out everything else (sort of like Maths). Well, I still can't figure it out (not that I tried...maybe I will when my son has to study it). [SViswan]
lol...I'm out of college....and even at the 11th and 12th grade at college it's a package we need to choose and not just individual subjects. So, if I want Maths at a Science package...I can't avoid Chemistry. [SViswan]
I guess for me it's those subjects that deals with numbers and computations, I am still a loser when it comes to counting and problem solving!cry But I do love Chemistry and other science-related stuffs, it's just that I don't really enjoy MATH ever since I was still in grade school. I think I did enjoyed P.E., though I also don't like those uniforms they prefer to wear for us.thumbdown [raijin]
That is actually it... i just don't understand why they made us wear hideous p.e. uniforms... the design is bad... and the color unforgivable... plus the teachers don't seem to know how to teach the subject... i will take any math subject... just not P.E... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Math. its really the subject that I found really hard that's why I hate it, I don't know if it's really the subject or the teachers because sometimes It's really depends on them on how they explain and motivate the students how they're good explaining, how nice and not like a monster that would eat you everytime you commit errors he he.. [JAY020582]
A bulk of it depends on the teacher... a good teacher can turn the most boring and difficult subject into something that students would look forward too... and i was lucky enough to have such math teachers... but unlucky not to have any good P.E. teachers... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I didn't like PE either. I was always lousy at volleyball. I was also lousy at tennis and field hockey. I liked folk dancing, golf and archery, although I wasn't good at archery. The other subjects I didn't like were physiology and world history. [joyceshookery]
During my high school days... i was quite athletic... so P.E was a let down... i expected a lot but didn't really learn anything... i learned most by researching about the Sports that i was interested in... i love world history... and this is why i majored it in college... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I love my PE classes and enjoyed them very much, especially our badminton and softball PE class in college! I remember our team winning 2nd place for the softball competition! Our medal is still at home safely kept, Its wonderful sports. Maybe what i dont like in school is statistics. I hate this subject so much that i got a barely passing grade, No matter how hard i study and try to put it on my mind. i am just soo o confused with statistics. My second favorite is History. Its nice and wonderful to know and talk about the things that have happened in the past. its almost like me time travelling. [chiyosan]
I am glad that you were able to enjoy P.E.... so you are luckier tha me in that aspect... my favorite is math and history... but i majored history in college first... then went back after some years to study Math... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I hated p.e it was boring and all the other girls were so horrible! In fact I managed to get out of doing p.e for about 2 years by having a problem with my knee, brilliant. [gemini_rose]
I hated gym too. We didn't really have uniforms, we were just told to wear shorts or seatpants of any color with a white t-shirt, or any color sweatshirt, white socks and our sneakers. My biggest problem with it was that I just really didn't like sports much and I was not at all coordinated enough for things like softball or basketball. I was fine with soccer and some of those things but I hated to stand out there in front of everybody trying to hit or shoot a ball whne I knew I was going to miss everytime. [foxyfire33]
Well, the only sports that the teachers actually made us play were volleyball, basketball, and tracks... which i thought was not enough since there are like hundreds of sports that we can do... not all student are coordinated with sports that involves a ball... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I hate mathematics definitely. I am just not doing well in science, especially in math. I have to spend a lot of time on it. But the result is not that satisfactory. Worse still, some of my math teachers were not kind at all. They did not do their job well but own all the responsibility to the students which made me hate math even more. Even though I do not hate it that much or find it interesting sometimes, the frustration is just not that easy to swallow. Fortunately, I do not have to study math now because I major in language at university. But sometimes I miss the science. Because dealing with languages all the time can be boring. [chrissieatu]
Well that's lucky for you to have good math teachers. Some of mine are just nightmares. I was beaten by one of my math teachers on my hand which hurts so bad~~~ Another is the vice president of our school. He had to go trips frequently. Thus we always had different teachers to take his place. Worse still, he just downloaded the PPT and showed us on the classes instead of illustrating to us himself. Thank you for your welcome :) Enjoy your day. [chrissieatu]
Good morning, aseretdd! Oh you bet it was phys ed. I dreaded it so badly that it made me physically sick sometimes. I wasn't very athletic so the other girls usually did better than I did (although I was great at archery!) happy Added to that was those horrid uniforms... oh man they were ugly! AND the showers with everyone else. I tried to get out of going to school so often when it was a gym day. blush Coming in second would be math, but at least I never pretended to be sick to get out of a math class. ninja [katiedoubleu]
That is the problem... i was quite good at sports... but was not able to hone or develop it because of the bad or no teaching at P.E. at all... i also tried to pretend to be sick just so i can get out... or be very very late... the teacher wouldn't even notice that... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I had two subjects I hated. Like you, I hated P.E. I'm uncoordinated, obviously not athletic and it was embarrassing from start to finish. Our instructors always stayed with the class, weren't critical or anything like that, but just being a total failure in front of everyone was horrendous. I also hated public speaking - I would get physically sick before getting up in front to make a presentation. It was a mandatory class in junior high. I suppose they thought it was beneficial. whit [whittby]
Well, i think public speaking is beneficial... i think it is required so that students will overcome their shyness and develop how to compose themselves in public... the teachers is totally responsible for that... i also understand why you hated P.E... students who are not incline to sport would certainly look awkward infront of those who are... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Awww I loved PE one of my favorite subjects but we didn't have to wear a uniform LOL I wasn't much of a scholar and loved sports instead. Played Basketball, Netball and Volleyball most of my life until I ruptured my archilles tendon about 4-5 years ago. I didn't really like school and other than PE being my favorite subject, I did like maths :) [maddysmommy]
It is nice to know that you love P.E.... it must have been nice or your teachers must have been good... and you are lucky not to have those ugly uniforms... i feel sorry that you ruptured your achilles tendon... you could have pursued a career in sports... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I hated P.E. the most and hated every class. I liked to swim and bike and play ball. I hated the fact that they would make you do sports and what they said were sports when you were just wasting your time. They did gymnastics every year for awhile. One year I had a great teacher who understood. So I wasn't insulted when during the balance beam he leaned over and asked if I had life insurance! I am not built for a balance beam. I am built to play tackle football! I think I would have liked the class if we only played sports and didn't have to do things I hated like gymnastics and running. On the other hand I think that P.E. is important to have in schools. It gives kids a chance to exercise and burn off energy. I'm just glad I will never have to take it again! [whywiki]
Eventhough i hated P.E... i think it is still important because students who are not incline to academics... would most likely excell in P.E... i just wished we had good teachers... and that we were made to choose the sports that we were to study... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
No I didn't hate PE. I enjoyed playing the different sports. The subjects I hated most were music and history. Music because I'm not that musically inclined. I found the do-re-mi-fa-sol routine boring. History because I didn't want to read all those books and memorize all the dates and the names. There were just too many! Later on in life though I did appreciate the importance of learning history. It helps us understand the present and avoid the mistakes of the past. [wisedragon]
I love history... in fact i was a history teacher for 8 years... i am so glad that you were able to realize its importance... i must admit that all those dates and names can be tiring... but that is one of the essense of studying history... i didn't like music too... and i was glad to have only studied it for 1 year... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I hated history. I never could understand why we had to learn all that stuff that was in the past. I had often asked my teacher what do I want to know about some dead man. That is known of my concern. The teachers would try to explain the reasoning behind history and then would finally shake their head at me and walk away. I also didn't like geometry and never could work the problems out very good. I am so happy that I no longer go to school. [sunshinelady]
We are so opposite... i loved that subjects that you hated... and i even majored history and math in college... but i was quite bad in geometry too... but then... we are all different so i am not in the position to judge you... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Yes, I HATED P.E. too. I never liked sports, and I'm not very athletic either. Plus in middle and high school you have to wear stupid uniforms. xD [megumiart]
I like sports... and was quite good in some... but still i hated P.E.... mainly because of the bad teachers and hideous uniforms... if only we had good teachers... i would have put up with the uniforms... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I didn't like P.E. too, because I will be asked to wear gym shorts and I don't like it. I was lucky to be admitted at a university that let students choose their own P.E. so for four semesters, I chose different dance classes for P.E. so I will be allowed to wear leotards. I got lots of scars in my legs due to a kidney infection when I was a kid, and I am always afraid people will make fun of me should they see my legs. Other than that, I hated Math. As in! [janujennifer]
It is nice that your university had a good P.E. program... i would loved the subject if i was made to choose the sport or activity and the teacher... But then... some people might look at you scars in an odd way... but not everybody will laugh at it... i sure won't... i think scars add character to a person... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I always hated french, not because of the subject itself i quite like learning languages, but because my teacher had a vendetta against me. I was always victimised and made an example of :( [petemcal]
That is so not nice of your teacher... i was never able to have a Foreign Language subject... except for English... but i would have welcomed a spanish or french class... thanks for the response... and welcome to mylot... i hope you enjoy every minute of your stay here... [aseretdd]
I hate MATH. I'm not very good at it and it gives me headache when it comes to complicated problem solving like Calculus...ahahaha! Good thing my hubby loves MATH and I think MATH loves him as well. He can teach our future children with that subject while I handle the other subjects =P [reejane]
Well, then your husband is the perfect man for you... you hate math and he loves it... opposite poles do attract... same with my husband and i... i love math but he doesn't so he leaves all computation to me... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I hate physics. My teacher not teaching but she always babble. I dont know what she talking about. So boring to hear she babble for 2hours. On examination or quiz, i dont know what to answer physics question. I think she could change the way she teach because it will spoilt the students. [edaabby]
Well, physics is one difficult and complicated subject... i think a lot more complicated than physics... but i had teacher who was like a goody two shoes... which made is so easy that it was like grade school physics... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Aseretdd, I disliked PE because of the uniforms. I had one good PE teacher though that made me actually see the good in sports. I never was really good at sports. We seemed to always change the sport each and every week so I didn't get any good at one of them, he was a teacher that actually made us do the sport for around 3 weeks or more. I actually saw myself improving and I actually grew to like many sports :)))). Pablo [callarse1]
You are lucky to have that one good P.E. teacher... i never had one that really cared about teaching the subject... i would have loved P.E. as much as i love history and math if only i had a teacher just like the one you described here... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
the subject i hated the most in school.. hmmm i uno there wasnt really a certian subject i hated more so the teacher who taught the course.. [xxxitaliaxxx13]
I usually associate the subject with the teacher... so since i disliked all my P.E. teachers... i then hated the subject... the teachers are the main factor in making the subject interesting and easy to understand... thanks for the response... and welcome to mylot... i hope you enjoy your stay here... [aseretdd]
I hated Geography. There lot of numbers, land types, weathers, etc in it and its very difficult to remember everything. I get less marks in this subject. Also i feel very bored to listen to this class. [MyHeartSays]
I find geography fascinating... i also love to study the different types of Maps and the globe... it is quite difficult to remember all the details... but i still love studying it... thanks for the response... and welcome to mylot... i hope to see more of your response and discussions here... [aseretdd]
Well I wouldn't say I hated Algebra, but I did hate the D's and F's I got in it LOL... [4you4me4us]
I had my own share of very low grades in Math but i never failed in any... especially in geometry... but i still love math as a whole... thanks for the response and welcome to mylot... i hope you enjoy every minute of your stay here... [aseretdd]
i hate science related classes. i was never good at any of them. [KillerSe7en77]
I was not that crazy about science classes too.... but i love it when we did those experiments... but we neved did any animal dissecting... which is good... i would have fainted if i was made to do that... thanks for the response and welcome to mylot... [aseretdd]
I loved P.E. It gave me a chance to get out of class. I also played almost every sport that I could play like football, rugby, hockey, tennis, badminton. I was also a sprinter in those days. The subject I hated most was geography. I never could get all those facts and figures about other countries right. Plus I never liked my geography teacher. [azahari33]
Hating a subject can be equated to hating the teacher... that is my situation with my hate for P.E.... i disliked all P.E. teachers so i disliked the subject... but with history and math...i loved all the teachers so i certainly developed a love for those two subjects... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Although I love to watch basketball, I am not athletic so PE would on top of the list. I used to hate PE during schooldays. I really don't mind wearing the uniform which is a shirt and jogging pants , but what I hated are the activities on that subject. My most hated part is when we studied gymnastics. I just hated it when my instructor would force me to do the splits as I am not flexible. I just really could not very second if thay class (grrr...!) .Second would be math, I have battled several exams just to pass math class. I just don't like numbers, solving equation. To add to my agony, having a strict math teacher. [bluecrystal1982]
I also am not flexible... so it is a good thing that gymnastics was not a part of our P.E. classes... i would have failed it in an instant... but i do love math... eventhough i find it quite difficult... but i love the numbers and problem solving aspect of it... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I really hate the Politics. This is the subject that I don't like at all. It's quite boring and I don't think it will be useful in the future. I feel like wasting time to study this subject, although it is a necessary subject. Hopefully one day it will be canceled. [youless]
Well, Politics is quite complicated subject... and it entails a lot of debate in the process... i like only the theories about communism and socialism... but other than that... i don't really care that much about the subject... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
i hate PE too! our instructor used to pick on me in my swimming class. i'm a good runner like you and wasn't the athletic type. but Math is what i hated most. numbers made me feel dizzy. [nimette]
Numbers have their way of making student feel dizzy and confused... that happened to me before... but i still loved math... P.E. would sometimes make me want to puke... especially when we are forced to wear those ugly unfashionable uniforms... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I also hate p.e. i'm not really athletic.. i loathe p.e. during elementary and high school.. but sometimes enjoy p.e. when our lesson is about dancing (IDC even if it's folk dance/ballroom as long as it's not sports).. but i didenjoyed our p.e. this sem (basketball), i didn't had any idea it was that fun.. other than p.e., i also hate math [neknek]
I don't like folk dance... i am more of a modern dance type of person... so i really never enjoyed P.E.... and ballroom dancing was not yet popular when i was still studying so... there was never a hope of me enjoying that subject... but i love math... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
actuallly i loved p.e may be because i did'nt have to wear those bloomers you are talking about. during the theory lectures sir just gave us questions and answers from digest we have to copy it down from digest and show it to sir.. subject i hated was geography very boring kinds of plants, houses ,food..... just hated it.. [lalchetian]
Good thing you did not have those bloomers to wear... or i am sure you would have hated p.e. a little... i hated writing... and some p.e teachers asked us to copy a lot of lectures which i think is unnecessary since it is a p.e. class... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I really hated PE when I was at school as well. I was totally useless at that subject. I wasn't at all good at gymnastics. I was terrible at dance. I was really bad at outdoor games. The two full time PE teachers hated me and the part time PE and Geography teacher wasn't nasty to me. When the PE teachers had warm track suits and coats on we had to wear t shirts and gray knickers. My friend forgot her trainers so one of the horrid PE teachers made her do tennis on the outdoor tennis court with bear feet! Her feet got cut and were bleeding after that miserable game of tennis. i used to throw the tennis ball into the wooden area by the fence and go to sit down. If a PE teacher approached me I would say that I was searching for my tennis ball. The thing I loved most of all was getting a note excusing me from PE lessons and I did get one when I had a broken arm. Another friend hit her own face in order to bring on a nose bleed! Yes, PE was a really horrible subject at the school that I went to. [maximax8]
It seems like p.e. teacher are the same anywhere in the world... yours were just horrible... i would have reported that teacher if i was forced to play tennis barefoot... and the punching of one's own self just to get out of p.e. is a clear indication that the program is not working... i hope by this time it has already been changed... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I didn't like PE as well but for me, I hated Math more and of course not basic math but the harder math- geometry, algebra, calculus..Can't stand them and they never made much sense to me. Why does a student have to take classes in something they will never use again unless they become mathematicians or teachers... [skinnychick]
LOL! I have some you can do! Want to come over and help? :) [skinnychick]
Though I am not good at P.E, I still like it, for it can help me to keep my body fit. To me the hated subject is thermodynamics, for it is hard to learn well and my first teacher on the subject is too bad. Though it is very useful to me, I have to give it up now. [nini168]
It is nice that you are able to enjoy your P.E. classes... i wish i could have when i was still in school... but i am not very familiar with thermodynamics... i think i heard the word from some movie... but what do you study in that subject?... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
hello aseretdd yes, i guess that i as well did not like to dress out and take part in P.E. class each day. the locker rooms always stuck to high heaven. ewww. just thinking about it, i can remember years ago how that locker room in the high school smelt. gross. i always took my P.E. classes at the end of each day, therefore, i did not have to shower after i got finished exercising and doing whatever that we were doing in P.E. class for the day. alot of times, i would sit out in P.E. class for the day when we would be doing gymnastics and i would get a zero for the day. lol. didn't bother me any. have a beautiful evening. [RLFinNash]
your very welcome. [RLFinNash]
the subject i really dont like is english, english is my waterloo. but i know enslish is very important, and i have to study it well. today i can understana, write and speack enlish but not fluently. [nice030481]
Studying English really paid off... since it is important here in mylot... and even in other sites... i like English but mainly the stuff about literature... i am not particularly crazy about grammar... thanks for the response and welcome to mylot... [aseretdd]
The subject I hated most was Chemistry! Why? Because instructors then never told us what and where it could be used for. They wanted us to memorize that chart with all those numbers, weights and signs. Who cares about them? But as the saying goes, "regrets come in last". Now, I want know the whys and what for of these chemicals or elements. If only instructors then were more conscientious in telling us how it would be helpful in life, my interest then could have been stirred up. As for Physical Education (P.E.) it was next to my favorite, recess lol! It was such an easy subject for me because I am athletic and a sports person. But, then again, it always depends on the instructor on how students get motivated on it. [rbnstr08]
It certainly depends on the teacher or instructor... Chemistry for me was not that bad... but i find it quite difficult... but the teacher was bearable... and charming... so it was okay... aside for that... i had a genius friend who helped me get through it... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
For me it was not only Gym Glass that I hated, but my math class as well. [robsbrooklyngirl]
Well, a lot of people hate math... but i am not one of them... eventhough it is quite difficult... i was able to manage most of the problems... just by having the positive attitude and genius friends to help out... but like you... i definitley hate gym class... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
i hate algebra whenever i hear equations like (x-y)8b-m squared, i feel like im shaking inside i definitely did use anything about that subject [mhayelynna]
Algebra or even all math subjects can have that effect on anyone... i was like that before... especially when i had a terror teacher... but then i can to love math because it would always challenge me... and also because of the other good teachers that i had... maybe you were no inspired by any of your math teachers... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
i hated math and PE at the same time. i hate PE bec. i don't know how to play any sports and i also don't know how to dance lol [rhane7315]
That is a good reason to hate PE... not knowing how to play any sport and even how to dance... but then... it was the responsibility of your teacher to make you learn and love a certain sport... and even dancing... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I hate history though I know its important and ideal to know it deeply..I find it very boring! [checapricorn]
History can be very very boring... especcially if the teacher doesn't know how to teach it in a very interesting manner... i was fortunate enough to have good history teachers... so the boring part was not that often... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I knew from the age of about thirteen that I wanted to become a teacher of social sciences, so when I was at school I hated every subject that I felt didn't have any relevance to what I wanted to do. I was forced to do things like History and Geography which, while interesting, didn't actually help me at all. I couldn't stand maths because although it's useful to be able to understand numbers, the sorts of things they taught us (like trigonometry and algebra, for example) will never be applicable to the rest of my life. I've never found myself thinking "thank goodness I knew Pythagoras' theorem". [danclement]
But history and geography are part of the study of social science... if you are to study social science... there is no way that you can omit these two subjects... well, you are right with the math subjects... but then... i am one of those who love math... despite off... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
i hated maths class lol obviousley haha [tezovhemo]
Well, you are not alone in that aspect... a lot of those who responded to this discussion... and even people i know hate math classes... i can't blame you since math is quite confusing and difficult... but i love it nevertheless... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
the one that i hate is chemistry class. So boring and useless. Even remembering it, my head suddenly get dizzy. [cross10]
Chemistry can reall be so boring and confusing with all those elements and compounds and even equations to remember... tha only part that i like about this subject is when we go to the laboratory to experiment... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
it would be biology and chemistry.. biology because there used to be so many wierd scientific names and chemistry mainly due to the equations and formulas [bimal10p]
I remember those scientific names in biology... and i think they are so very weird... and thought that those scientist could have chosen easier and not so complicated names... but i do like it when it was experimenting time... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
when i was in school and the subject i would hate was geography!i just could not understand the logic behind reading that subject while it was all about seeing it for yourself and experiencing it. i would hate the terms tropical, equator, mediterranean because they would not make sense to me at all.i partially hated the subject because of the teacher too.I just did not approve of her anyway.well i am lucky that i managed to pass it in one go though i had no ways of doing it but i managed. [wittyakanksha]
To be able to really love geography... one must experience it first hand... like you have to travel in order to see what an island, archipelago, ocean, or sea is... that is the best way... aside for that... the teacher must also know how to deliver the subject effectively in a way that students will be interested... thanks for the response... I'm with you - I hated P.E. Our teacher never left. The first thing we did was dress out. Then the teacher checked our uniforms. The first year, we had short-shorts and wore white blouses with round collars, white socks and white tennis shoes. If you had on a pointy collar you had points taken off your grade; if you had any color other than white on your socks, you got points taken off. The next year we got those horrible one-piece things with elastic in the waist. They made your rear look like a balloon was in your pants! lol I hated those. So everyday, I wore the previous years uniform. I always had points taken off for the uniform. My teacher mas a sadist. She absolutely hated me. Fortunately for me, I've never been shy about taking up for myself. She said something horrible to me one day and I just got dressed and left the gym. I went to the Principal's office and told him what she said and some of the things she had done to me and to others. I told him I wasn't going back to her class. The guidance counselor was there and he said I could work in his office the rest of the year. They made her apologize to me, too. lol Yep, that was the class I hated! [CherylsPearls]
Good for your... that PE teacher stepped the line when she said the something horrible to you... good thing the guidance counselor was able to work out something that will not require you to attend anymore PE classes for the rest of the year... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
yes,i have my own dislikes.l hated chemistry very much and math as a middle school students. but nowadays, when i recall back i find that it was not that i born disliked them ,it was the unqualified teachers that deprived of my interests, cause i was criticized once in the class and i got lower scores in the exam. [alexpan]
Well, the teacher is the key factor for students to like and understand very difficult subjects like chemistry... i remember my teacher in that subject was okay... so i had no problem with it... thanks for the response... welcome to mylot and i hope you enjoy your stay here... [aseretdd]
I absolutely hated algabra. It just seems that I couldn't get it to click in my mind. I had to stay after school to get my teacher to help me out with my work. I still only passed the subject by the skin of my teeth. Any kind of math I don't like but at least with addition, subtraction, division and multiplication I could grasp those. Algabra I hated when it came the time of day that I had to walk into that classroom. [sunshinelady]
But at least you still passed... and from your response here... you really tried your best... i think what you feel from the subject is not hate... but some kind of frustration... i felt that way with math sometimes... but in the end... i still love it... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
i hate my filipino subject... i got 79 there,,, i didn't got the scholarship bcoz of that grade.... grrr.... [ckimkimkim]
That is just too bad... i had only a few good Filipino teachers... but the not so good ones... made it a point to give really good grades... so that made up for it... i did not hate Filipino... but i was not crazy about it either... thanks for the response... and welcome to mylot... i hope you enjoy your stay here... [aseretdd]
People hate math,at least that's what they're always telling me. Not that I hate it too. Of all the subject my lowest grade is in math. But I believe once the foundations are mastered, success comes in this discipline as easily as it does in others. Okay. Maybe not as easily, but certainly success will come nonetheless. [DudaYLen]
I agree with you... i did not get very high grades in math... but i still enjoyed the subject... solving problems made me want to learn more and more... math is not only for geniuses... but for the average students also... thanks for the response... and welcome to mylot... i hope you enjoy your stay here... [aseretdd]
I disliked P.E. as well. As for academic subjects, I think I liked everything. In high school my best and favorite subjects were Creative Writing and Ancient History as well as Spanish and Drama. [primalmom]
A lot of those who responded to this discussion hated P.E... but i am glad that you did not find Ancient History boring... i also love that subject... we do not have Spanish and Drama... but i also like Creative Writing... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
It was definitely maths for me. I hated it. I hated the importnace that it held at my school. Honestly when are we going to be using angles of elevation and integers in real life? "Oh George! I'm drawing up the designs for our new back deck. This angle of elevation tells me that we'll be 45 degrees north of the backyard with this integer!" Pfft yeah right. I also hated science. It was so technical. I loved doing experiments and actually learning but all the other stuff that had to be learnt just drove me crazy! Alas, I failed both maths and science at high schoolcry [coffeeshot]
That is too bad... to fail both math and science... in my country that would mean you have to repeat a year... it is up to the teacher to make us realize the importance of math... the main thing that i remember is the discipline... if you can pass math... you can succeed in anything... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I hate SCIENCE and HISTORY because I have to always memorize the story and lines there or study and make sure to remember the history dates etc... lolz [jesbellaine]
Oh, great! I wish I have your brain for remember history especially the DATES lolz. [jesbellaine]
math. i hated it, because i was horrible at it. never learned much anyway [thatcrazyqbanita]
We are opposite in that manner... i love math... and saw a lot of advantage in learning it... well, people are all different in their own way... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
hehehe, I dont have P.E. coz for me its the easiest subject i had before..I hate algebra, math and physics..It's really difficult! [sanz_eight]
I agree... those three subjects are indeed difficult... but i love math... thanks for the response... welcome to mylot and i hope you enjoy your stay here... [aseretdd]
Well, back in the day, mine either had to be PE as well, or Science. Both of these classes I found boring, and just barely scraped by in either of them. The main reason I hated PE, and even flunked it one semester, is I was being abused at home by my Step Dad and so I refused to change at school so people could see the Bruises all over my back and legs. And the uniforms they made us wear back then were usually quite tight, and so short. They were ugly. I do not miss those days at all. [KrauseHome]
I am sorry about your bad experience with your step dad... i hope life made up for it... and that you are happy and content with what you have... thanks for sharing this... [aseretdd]
I hate all my chemistry teachers they always had a problem with me because i hate chemistry xD. [Psyclown]
I guess... the hate says it all... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Hello aseretdd, I hate Physics *laughs* Yes, yes, I remember I told you that I was a science student since secondary school up to my university degree. I just couldn't think logically why things happen sometimes. I hate to think too much for my Physics subject. [gr8life]
I remember that... and i also remember that Math is your favorite subject... i am also not that crazy about Physics... but i am glad that my physics teachers was so charming... and she made it a point to only teach us the basics... so that we won't have a hard time... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
PE. What a torture for me specially in my senior high school. I am a nerd at senior high school. All my subject always got at least an 8 except gym class which the best I got only a 7 though not lack of trying. We had a big pool in my school so we had a swimming class which is a disaster for me cause all I can swim is the Stone Drown style. lol I am happy and relieved when we didnot get any PE at the last year of my senior high. [hcpoirot]
Wow... if we had swimming classes... that would have made a big difference for me... since i love swimming... but i am not really good at it... well, we all have our weak points when we were studying... and i am glad that is all over... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Like you i hated PE too....and math. But not all math just the kind that never really made much since. Well Technically the math i started having to take once i got into college. All the notes i had to write about something thtat i really was not intrested in learning. But i had to do it in oreder to earn my degree. [punkin1803]
Well, we all had to go through math... even those that we really do not like... so we just have to make the most out of it... but finishing it can be quite a relief... good thing you were able to survive... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
P.E. is okay for me.. But the subject that I hate the most is Math and Chem. I don't know really, maybe because Im bad in analyzing and memorizing stuffs. That is why I usually get low grades. [kikayness88]
Math and Chemistry at two very difficutlt subjects... so i don't blame you for not liking them... i always had a hard time with chemistry too... i am just lucky to have friends who helped me out in trying to understand the lessons... thanks for the response... welcome to mylot... and i hope you enjoy every minute of your stay here... [aseretdd]
No offense, but I HATE P.E. very much. I was never good at it. I hate every part of it. I'm not the athletic type of person who likes running around the school grounds but the type of person who likes staying at a secluded part of the classroom reading a book. Usually, after P.E. classes, my whole body will be like very sore and I was like...owie... That's that. I hate P.E. very much and I really love math. lol. That was a random one... [xXSnowFoxXx]
I understand why you hate PE... not being the athletic type can be a factor... in my case... i was athletic during my high school days... but i did not like any of my PE teacher... so that made me hate the subject... i also love math... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I really really hate PHYSICAL EDUCATION and MATHEMATICS especially COLLEGE ALGEBRA... P.E. why? I'm not the sporty type of girl and I hate doing sport stuffs, it's like more on an attitude. Mathematics... Why? Because numbers are just so hard to deal with... I think numbers hate me the way I hate them... kinda mutual understanding, hahahaha.... [jeiyah_12]
I also hate Physical education... but a loved mathematics... especially college algebra... i am the sporty type... but i hated my PE teachers... they did not even bother to teach us anything... i am not that good in math... but it has a way of keeping me interested... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Hi Asweretdd: I didn't like chemestry because I am alergic to sulfur and they used it a lot in the lab. I love PE, Math and English. Ivor [TheSpy]
Then you should have been excused whenever there was an experiment going on... being allergic to sulfur is a valid excuse for that... i hated PE... but loved Math... and i like English too... but not the grammar subjects... just literature... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
i hated algebra w/a passion. have never tought it should have been a required subject. have never used it one time in all the years ago i took it. [ANTIQUELADY]
I also do not see any use for algebra or the other math subjects like calculus... although i found trigonometry and geometry very useful... but i like all math subject anyway... they make my mind work faster... and sharpen my way of analyzing stuff... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I didn't like my history teacher in High School so made me not like the subject too! I was not motivated to study and it was very boring for me. I love our teacher in PE but I hate our uniform, the bloomer, made me not comfortable since it was too short and I was not used to wear short as those when I was young..LOL! But, I survived! [checapricorn]
Hi swirlz, That's great for you! I know I missed a lot of topics that I need to know as a Citizen of our Country but I have no motivation those times! sadsadsad [checapricorn]
I absolutely could not stand PE. I was the most inactive person in high school and did not like to participate in organized sports because I was shy and unathletic. I'm better about sports now and am willing to give Games a try, but when I was younger it was like a nightmare. Also, I hated changing clothes in front of a bunch of other people. It was so embarrassing. [doubloonie]
Getting naked in front of other people even though they are also female is indeed very embarrassing... i had to look for a toilet cubicle everytime we had to do that... i was an athletic person in high school... but i still hated PE... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
The subject I hate most is history!! so boring and it's full of names and memorization which I hate but sometimes I like it heheheh!! I dunno but i think it's the subject that i hate most!!! Well it's a matter of personal taste though! But that's the subject I really hate! [moneyisme]
I agree with you... it is all in the matter of taste... i love history and never found it boring... but i hated memorization... i just love the stories about kings and queen... and how thing became what they are now... thanks for the response... welcome to mylot and i hope you enjoy your stay here... [aseretdd]
i hate mathematics,anything about numbers...algebra,calculus,trigonometry [cecillepapa]
Hey, I'm quite like you. I love math too. The challenge to solve something incomprehensible is the best! hehe rasp [swirlz]
Science, most definitely. Those formulas came from another subject that most people hate throughout middle and high school--hardcore math. What are your hardcore math divisions? They are Advanced Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and Trigonometry. What ever happened to simple adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing? No, someone wants to confuse everybody up by throwing in some formula like that of photosynthesis: C6 + H6 + O6 = 6 CH2O. You get what I mean, right? (Too bad there are no keys on the computer that allows you to superscript or subscript a number) [enterpriseLEE2010]
I know what you mean... those formulas can be mind bongling... but i think there is a special computer or calculator that can solve such problems... i have one that can even graph... but such devices are quite expensive... and a little complicated to manipulate... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Well infact i like P.E as we chukker around school during that period because our trainer is so lavish ,but the subject which i hate most is biology and i am forced to skip my lunch on days when there is biology class. [bharatsignal]
I just hated P.E. classes... and i also sometimes skip it... but good thing i still passed... i think the teacher never noticed anyone who was absent... i was not crazy about biology class... but i liked it a little... especially when we studied about plant cells... thanks for the response... welcome to mylot an i hope you enjoy your stay here... [aseretdd]
I didn't like PE that much but it was fun because I get to unwind and at least not think of other subjects while I do sports. Actually the most hated subject I think was the Reserve Military training because we were always made to do push ups even for no apparent reason. I hate it too because of some batch mates who are officers would actually abuse their power over us.angry [magojordan]
I think that was the main reason why the Reserve Military training was abolished... some or most officers tend to abuse their position... but in my case... i joined the training just to get away from P.E.... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Correct!! I hate PE too.I enjoyed playing sports but i just could not take it the PE in school.I wish i were to be in Polytechnic now or some private school that don't require to have PE lessons. Even now,i always skipped my PE.Strict action going to be taken soon. So,i need to buck up on attending that hatred subject of mine. [dianagnes]
Oh my... you need to start attending you P.E. classes or else you might fail... and have to repeat it... just try to bear with it... that is better than going through it again for another year or semester... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Oh, it's also PE. I hate it like nothing else on earth. But our teachers weren't like yours. They do teach well. But I'm not athletic. Even when I was a child, you could rarely see me play anything, even tag. I was a very timid child and most of my free time I spent in the library. So I would hate it when PE class comes. I usually lose, or stumble, or get hit with the ball right in the head. All these years I've been wondering why we need to take PE class every year. It's just for people with skills, and for those who doesn't, the class is a pain. I don't see any art class or singing or dancing being forced on students every year. It's because not every one likes to dance and sing or draw. The way those people think of those activities regarding talents or skills that they don't have, it's troublesome, that's how I feel about PE. Although it's okay to have them, but not every year. I hate PE. For me, it's useless.thumbdown [swirlz]
Wow... you really hated PE with passion and i can understand why... i believe the main purpose why there is a PE class per year is to maintain educational balance... or for the child to have a "sound mind and a sound body"... so this should be explained by the teacher to the students very well... in order to foster appreciation for the subject... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I hate the suject called the econimic writing most. The course was tought by an old man who was so slow in preaching and so boring.I hate it to the bone, but fortunately,i pass it. [chenmeiyi]
Good thing you passed economics... i barely passed because i always skipped it... and would only attend when there is an exam... my teacher was not a very good one... quite boring and cannot convey the essence of the subject to his students... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
I really hated PE and the PE teacher thought that I didn't have any talent in the subject at all. I was useless at running, couldn't catch a ball and threw a ball in the wrong direction. I was terrible at gymnastics and awful at dancing. One time my friend forgot her trainers so the horrid PE teacher made her go on the tennis court in bare feet. Her feet got cut and very sore indeed. Cross country running was the worst activity to do. My mum wasn't bothered with my poor report in the subject because she was more concerned with academic subjects like English and I did well int that subject luckily. [maximax8]
I also made the same mistake some time ago... so it can happen to all of us... [aseretdd]
I hated math in school the most. I had a terrible Algebra teacher in eighth grade that really soured me on math. He made it frustrating instead of challenging. [kellys3ps]
That is too bad... most of my math teachers were good... i think that is one of the reasonse why i love this subject... i guess interest and love for math depends largely on how the teacher can handle the subject... thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
Oh! I loved my P.E.winkOne way to get away from the studies. Can just fool around.I was never studioussleep.I hated mathsangryI just could never bring myself to like it. [biggerb]
That is one positive aspect of P.E.... if you hate the academic subjects... then P.E. is the best way aside for recess to take a break from them... but in my case i love my other subjects because i like my teachers... if my P.E. teachers were good... i would have liked it too... Thanks for the response... [aseretdd]
