I think you can make your school life more interesting by socializing in a better way with your friends. Doing activities such as hiking as you do now is not really such a great idea, you see. You need to spend more time talking with them...go with them to bars, clubs or concerts. Or even parks and stuff like. Spend hours talking to them. That way you'll start feeling really close to them. You're right that we do have too much extra time when we are in college but it's just as well because the amount of work that is given to us does need a lot of time so that we will be finished with it when the professor asks us to submit. I usually just start to work on my projects after classes when I have breaks. I also eat, take my lunch break or snack. Walk around the campus and just wait for the time. Something like that. I do sometimes go to the Student Internet Center and use the internet time that we paid for during enrollment. Id just surf the internet, go to my sites, update things that needs to be updated, check mail, and sometimes I do play online games.LOL [bjcyrix]

I did a lot of things during my spare time in college. In fact, I'm still in college but is just a few months away from graduation. Anyway, I'm not the typical student who will graduate on time as it took me about 9 years to finish a degree in college, yes, 9 freaking years. LOL. I'm not the typical student who goes to school, study, and focus much on academics. When I entered college way back in 2001, I really didn't care much about academics and getting good grades considering the fact that I'm enrolled in one of the most prestigious universities here in the Philippines, the University of the Philippines. I spend most of my spare time playing Computer Games with my classmates and friends. I spend more time playing rather than studying and doing my responsibilities in school The result? I failed in almost all subjects. I has been for almost 3 years when I got so hooked in computer games. I transferred school after 2 years. I still play a lot of computer games but later on shifted my attention and time to martial arts. Same thing, I really didn't think a lot about academics but instead thought more about my training. I competed in numerous tournaments and even joined different martial arts disciplines and clubs. The time that we change would come indeed and after a few years, my mindset and priorities where changed. Though I still didn't think much about school and academics, this time, my attention and focus was shifted to a more productive and useful ways. I enrolled in different short term courses to learn. Learning different things outside my field in college has been so fun. Until now, I'm still learning different things other than my major in college and I believe that I can really use this in the future when I start to look for a job. Extracurricular activities make college life fun. And for me, I even learned a lot more outside and during my free time than in the confines of the four walled classroom. [boybato]

hi machai, When I was still studying, during semester break and summer I usually go to my grandmother's place and visit my cousins and play with them (volleyball and computer games). I also go to my friend's province and explore new things. I also joined some youth program in our community and liked it a lot. I remember that I have this notebook where I wrote some of my movie reviews on the films that I have watched. I actually love watching films and have a membership on a video rental store, I rented all the movies I like and watch it during my free time. Ohhh!!! Mylotting is a great way to kill your boredom too.lolz [danitykane]
