There are a lot of level or grade during high school or during secondary education. We encounter a lot of projects, and many other programs to prepare us for the university. For me, the subject that I consider the most difficult is trigonometry. I just don't know why but there is really something about the subject that for me is hard to comprehend. What for you is the most difficult subject in high school?

responses and comments:
for me the hardest class I had to take in high school would have to be anything to do with math. I am very bad at math lol but I am getting better. [sassygirlanne007]
I see, a lot of people actually have difficulty in math, so you don't have to worry about it. With respect to math subjects, since there are different kind, there are certain topics that I find easy to solve and there are those that I find hard. Trigonometry and calculus for me are quite difficult and I really have low grades on these subjects. I am happy that you are getting better. Perhaps, it will just take more time and effort and later on it will be easier. [jpso138]
I was never into sports, and I was somewhat out of shape, so gym class was my worst subject. I never did understand why they required a gym class; I mean, it's not like it'll help you in college. It was the last time you'd ever have to take gym. I'm sure most geeks agree with me fully on my choice here. Well, the out-of-shape geeks, at least. [VampAmber]
I see. Well there are people who are not really into sports and stuffs like that. Although sports are good for the body since its a form of Exercise and good for health. Though I agree with you that gym class is not essential for an individual to take in as part of the curriculum. My opinion on this matter is perhaps it should be left to the student to take the class or not as contrary to having it mandatory. I am not saying that gym class is bad, in fact as I have told earlier, its good for health. Though not all people are sports minded and physically active. There are those that prefer to be mentally active and are good on other stuff. So I think the student should be given the choice. [jpso138]
I didn't take any of the higher math classes. Since one year of math was a requirement, I took remedial math when I was a senior. The two subjects I had difficulty with were world history and physiology. [joyceshookery]
I think for every country there are certain variations in so far as curriculum is concerned. In our system there are at least 5 math subjects that we to burden ourselves with. Basically I call it a burden since I myself find some of the math subjects rather difficult. In fact this is the reason that I have always scrap out the possibility of taking an engineering course since I know its more of the math thing. Though I kind of love history and physiology. But in so far as history is concerned, I am more interested with American history and European history rather than our own since your country and Europe fascinates me so much. [jpso138]
I had the most trouble with foreing languages. I took but Spanish and French and struggled with them both to a degree. I think it was hard for me because I didn't have anybody to practice speaking with. [AICIRT81]
I am really interested to learn French but it is very difficult for most especially that it unique and likewise doesn't have someone to practice with. With Spanish its a little bit easy since our country has been colonized by Spain for about 300 years and most of the words we have are derived from the Spanish language. But both are nice languages to learn. [jpso138]
HISTORY...i'm really bad in memorizing...keep failing that subjects..so i think its the most most difficult subject for me during school..and also add math..but history is the top ranking for me [fadilah8]
I see. Well I think its not because you are not good in memorizing. I am sure that you are very good in all other things and can memorize other aspects. Just probably you are not interested in such subject and that is why you are not giving it much effort in memorizing as compared to other areas. Each person would always have a favorite and it goes also for the subjects. [jpso138]
for me the hardest subject was history. not really sure why, I had great teachers I guess I just didn't want to apply myself. [shymurl]
Well I guess there are two of you already who have the same choice for difficult subject. I do agree with you that in my history class likewise, many of my classmates find history difficult. So you don't have to worry since you are not alone. I hope you are not offended. I'm sure you have passed your history class despite finding it difficult. I believe just like any other person, we find a certain subject not so interesting which tends to create an impression that its difficult. [jpso138]
Very form person to person. For me,the most difficult subject in high school is English.there are so many English words to be remembered and so many phrasing to be tell.Maybe it't easy for most people, but expect me.And I think it depends a person's interest. [Viviannia]
I see, well, sometime people find English difficult most especially if your language is different or somewhat very far from the English language. Though with hard work and determination, I think this can be overcome. [jpso138]
for me chemistry was the hardest. [evelynarvelo30]
I do find chemistry difficult since there are a lot of things to memorized. I also get confused when chemicals are mix, its really difficult how they come with a name once the chemicals are mix or broken down. It can also make you crazy. [jpso138]
I was having a hard time on our math subject specifically "Statistics'.Though it's a college subject but in our school we were taught advance subjects. [giePortlandOR_08]
Were you thought "Statistics" when you were in high school too? [giePortlandOR_08]
its physics I guess, luckily i passed the subject.. [julialaurene0206]
I see, well, physics was one of m favorite subject. I am realy amazed with with matter, force and energy. [jpso138]
I would say that i had a hard time understanding geometry. Back then, we were asked to memorized postulates without really understanding why we have to. It has something to do with the way of teaching also. It is hard to understand geometry without any visual aides. It is hard to imagine angles and things related to geometry. [mkmsam531]
Hahaha! I definitely agree with you on that. I really had a hard time during high school with regards to geometry subject. I was just wondering how I was able to pass the said subject way back then. [jpso138]
Algebra... Til' this day I still don't know how to do some of that stuff, and that hurt me in college... :( [4you4me4us]
Well, its quite a difficult subject. I had it in my second year high school. Luckily I was able to understand the subject since our teacher was very good. I had no algebra in college since I took up accountancy. [jpso138]
Personally it would be mathematics in general. It is really complicated and not easy to grasp immediately. I know that it would depend also on the way of teaching but based on my own experiences , I have a tough time with mathematcis all through out my school life. I guess that I am not just eager to learn math or not up for it. I envy my classmates who can understand the lesson immediately after it was taught. Honestly, it is from my classmates that I was able to understand the subject as they were able to explain it properly and I am able to follow it, because I was scared to ask my teacher to clarify the lesson. I just dreaded everytime I would be called by the teacher to solve an equation on the board. [bluecrystal1982]
Well, I think one reason that sometimes we find it hard to understand a subject is when our teachers does not know how to explain the subject properly. Another reason could be is what you have explained, the fear, I also had such encounter since I have one teacher that we consider a terror way back then. [jpso138]
I have no hard times on subject during high school... I love math and average on english... i am also good on other subjects when i study hard... Problem on subjects on college??? i encounter a lot... Math is number one... Algebra is okay but if you miss one number or letter, all your answer is wrong... Trigonometry... wow... thank God i passed that subject... I had a hard times also on english communication 101, 102... Now even though i've encounter those hard times on those subjects... it was helpful and i can use my knowledge in every day life to survive... [alexigne]
Wow, you must be very good. Well, I think each person has its own ability and own favorite. I am glad that you have no difficulty in high school subjects. You are right, the lessons that we have learned from school and from the subjects will definitely help us in our day to day life. [jpso138]
for me, it would be integrated algebra. A mix trigonometry and higher algebra. Quite hard, just trying to do my very best to pass it. [k8lyn07]
Well, I am not really good with trigonometry. I go crazy over them. Though I am good with algebra. But most likely if this will be mixed with trigonometry, then I may go crazy. Thanks for the reply. [jpso138]
For me it was math. No matter how I tried I was never good at math !! [robsbrooklyngirl]
Well, there are really people who find some subjects really difficult. I think each one of has will always encounter one or two subjects that will really make our minds go crazy. Well, thank you for your post and I have that you will be able to overcome your math problem. [jpso138]
the most difficult subject for me during high school was math. that's why i always hated math all the time [rhane7315]
i hate history..just so boring! [checapricorn]
For me, it was most things science-based. I was really good at biology but chemistry and physics went totally over my head and I could barely understand a word of it. I'm the sort of person that doesn't care how things work, as long as they work. [danclement]
mine was math even i get by just fine not passing it but i hated the subject that i would kick and scream before the lesson started..x [yasmin02476]
for me it would be biology and chemistry..because in these u have to learn a lot of scientific names and need to mug up a lot of things [bimal10p]
Yes, I do agree with you. It does make you memorize a lot of new and strange words with all those scientific names and classifications. [jpso138]
The most difficult subject for me when I was at school was anything to do with maths. I am now retired and I still have difficulty with it good job we have calculators now [austinbell]
they certainly make life easier [austinbell]
For me Physics was the hardest subject in high school. I was even forced to take a remedial class because I had trouble passing the tests and understanding the concepts! :( [anaknitatay]
Luckily, I like Physics. It is good that you were able to pass by going in a remedial class. [jpso138]
Math is a hard subject but due to persistent practices in solving problems,I was able to understand and pass [asawanialvin0611]
Science - I just hated science!! I was so very pleased when I was told at 16 that I'd never have to do it again. And I still haven't - happy days! [bojangles88]
Well, Science for me generally is an interesting subject. Most especially with the experiments. Though, I find the subject difficult, I also found it very interesting. This must perhaps be the reason why I did not find it so difficult. Thanks for sharing and best regards. [jpso138]
trigonometry is also my most difficult subject. it is not solving by calculations it's more of proving the equations. on thing i hate the most. [JAYMAR777]
Well, we have the same problem. Luckily I only have one trigonometry subject. In fact it was one of the reasons why I did not took any Engineering degree. I was afraid of meeting trigonometry again! [jpso138]
It would be Math. When you get into all the Geometry and all that solutions mess.sad [cream97]
I do find Geometry a very difficult subject. I was just glad that I was able to pass the subject way back then. I really have not brains for those computations involving geometry problems.happy [jpso138]
The most difficult subject I must say when I was in High School was Physics, Trigonometry and Algebra. The rest was piece of cake. Enjoy and have a nice day ahead of you. [kent_help2smile]
HAHA! Mathematics! I just don't like numbers! Numbers give me headache! Happy MyLotting! [CMTS_87]
Math is the most difficult because I need as lot of time understanding it [mimiang]
I do agree that a math subjects are quite difficult. Though personally there are other specific math subjects that I do find great but there are also those that I really find hard and difficult such as geometry and trigonometry. [jpso138]
It's trigonometry. I had a hard time staying awake. Our professor talks soooo slow. Her voice seems to be music in my ears then sends me to a deep slumber. I just don't know, well a lot of us fall asleep during her period. [supersionx]
Yah mentors do affect the mastery of the student on a certain subject. Maybe because it's quite boring and very tedious to study. [supersionx]
Math is too Easy !!!!!!!!!!! I think difficult is HISTORY ... U have to remember lots of dates year name & more ... and finally u have to write a long note for 9 marks about 3 page .. and time is very short for us ... only 3 hr.... there is only 10 marks short question ...... [subhojit1989]
Subhojit maths i hard to me.I think you are a expert in maths.I too agree with you that history too is hard [chimrani]
I think the most difficult subject in high school was Accounting. I never got the hang of it. I think it was actually good that we had that subject in high school, it helped me to decide NOT to take up Accountancy in college. I just don't know why I can't seem to balance the sheets. I did pretty well in all my math subjects even Trigonometry, but I just can't do the "simple" maths of Accounting. Thanks for the response on my discussion! [oyenkai]
I also had accounting during high school. I did find it difficult but as compared to trigonometry, I find trigonometry more difficult. I really don't know why but it seems that I am not really good with trigonometry.happy [jpso138]
Its maths for me and history too but i got good marks in history but bad marks in maths. I hate maths subject [chimrani]
I see, I love history. In fact until now, I love to watch history channel in cable tv since I love to learn and know what happened in the past. I love some math subjects but not all. I always have difficulty with trigonometry during high school.happy [jpso138]
Most difficult subject in my school days was Maths. I never understood this subject until I made good marks in my graduation. I was a timid child so I always had fear to ask my teachers for any difficult question. I never could do well in my life and so even after being a post graduate I am here on Mylot trying to earn in cents.I am not satisfied about this but one day this will surely turn into a miracle for me. [niship2009]
I think most of the reply so far regarding the most difficult subject are about math subjects. There must be really something about this that makes it difficult in general. Well, I too have found some math subjects difficult. Most especially geometry and calculus. Well, good luck on your earnings. I am sure that you will be able to reach your goal.happy [jpso138]
I don't know about the difficult part but the subject I totally hated was Maths I wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible... I hated doing boring sums I don't know how some people enjoy it so much... Take care jpso... [PrettyIndGal]
Na its not difficult I just hate it coz its boring... [PrettyIndGal]
Let me refresh my memory first. (lol) It was 10 years ago. Back then, what I don't like the most is science and technology. I hate biology the most followed by general science. I like a little of chemistry since it deals with mathematics which is my favorite subject. I am challenge with physics because it entails analysis and calculation. Those subjects pull me down. I am not the number one student in the class because of those subjects. [yonkie]
I see. I do love physics as well as science. Biology is not one of my favorite considering that I hate those scientific names. Well, each of us have different likes and dislikes. It always depends on what we find easy and comfortable to deal with.happy [jpso138]
Math is not easy, but i like it. the worst subject i believe is Physics & Chemistry :p History is becomes hard when the topic is not that interesting, like when talking about world war 1, thats history - i love talking about it, but when it comes to the prime ministers of all countries in the world. oh my gosh.. i can't stand history, physics & chemistry hehe [abingabanger]
I agree with you. I think our interest thus play a great role in our learning. If we like the subject, we may tend to understand it easily as compared to something that we do not really like. I love history, but chemistry... I really find it hard and difficult.happy [jpso138]
